Licensor (seller): Reviewing, accepting and rejecting an offer

Whenever a prospective Licensee (buyer) makes an offer, you’ll get an email notification and the offer will appear in your “Current Offers” tab in the Main section of your account screen.

Remember: in some cases, accepting a Non-Exclusive offer may automatically void an Exclusive offer depending on the terms offered and the same vice-versa.

For example, a buyer can make an Exclusive offer for a six month Film/TV license while another Licensee can make a Non-Exclusive offer for the same asset with a six month Film/TV license. If you choose the Exclusive offer first, all pending Non-Exclusive offers will be declined and cancelled. Conversely, if you choose the Non-Exclusive offer first, all pending Exclusive offers will be cancelled and declined. Basically, you can’t accept an Exclusive and Non-Exclusive license for the same media asset, for the same duration period, and for the same licensing term categories (Internet/Online, Film/TV or Print Publishing).

Lastly, you can choose to accept or decline the offer. If the offer is declined, the buyer can make a new offer at a different price or set of terms.
